Amongst the full and wild grass that grows,
Hidden behind stray trees dotted around,
Can be found, the Scottish Bigfoot.
But instead from old tongue,
Called The Bawkie Naip
Which means... The Bogle Ape.
Accounts have told of his mighty roar,
That bellows like the sound of a bear,
Screeching out through slobber covered teeth,
And booming loudly around the lands.
But bears have been extinct in these lands for over a thousand years.
Rumours spun, speak of his hair hands,
Wiry like the bristles spotted on a boar,
Scratching like sandpaper rubbed on the trees,
A disgustingly matted clump of fur.
But boars have been extinct in these lands for over four hundred years.
Local legend reports of gnarly long fangs,
Sharp as the pointed jaws of the wolf,
Clutching tenaciously on it's prey once caught,
And carefully releasing when done.
But wolves have been extinct in these lands for over three hundred years.
No person has ever caught one alive,
But if spotted, the watcher does survive,
If only to add to the lore of the beast more and more...
