Poetry Prompt: Royalty
Poets: Sue Fernott, Brittaina Goffy and Ambrozya
Glorious Eagle by Ambrozya
Majestic in the northern sky
Clear vision; a silent spy
In my heart flying high
Holding my faith and future sighs
Clear vision; a silent spy
In my heart flying high
Holding my faith and future sighs
The Wolf Pack by Sue Fernott
By conquest or by birth
Royalty prevails;
Their king, their Alpha,
Dispenses his favours as he chooses.
All is his by right;
His impatient, yet obedient, followers
Watch as he claims the choicest morsels,
Never daring to eat until he is sated.
Females compete for his attention
Their only function
The chance to continue his line;
Foolhardy challengers exiled
The banishment instant and brutal.

Mortal King by Brittaina Goffy
I'll raise
you on a pedestal,
give you a crown, call you
Prince, King Of The Commoners,
But I deny you
the expanse of forever
you are, will be
mortal, above you immortals
What do you say, Mortal king?
fly high, not forever,
In my heart, not the sky
a Prince, a demise
you on a pedestal,
give you a crown, call you
Prince, King Of The Commoners,
But I deny you
the expanse of forever
you are, will be
mortal, above you immortals
What do you say, Mortal king?
fly high, not forever,
In my heart, not the sky
a Prince, a demise
